Overview
The car radio has been the cornerstone of in-car-entertainment for nearly a century and a vital connection to the outside world. In the intervening decades, we’ve seen it change from a simple radio receiver to a fully integrated head unit offering both analog and digital radio channels along with a host of data services including detailed traffic information. As the head unit and central console evolve into a connected media player, integration is set to go even further, with the tuner moving closer to the antenna and connected to the sound system via high-speed Ethernet connections
